At SeedProd<\/a>, we listen to your feedback. You told us you love our template kits but want faster imports. We know waiting for templates to load is a major roadblock when creating a website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since speed is one of our top priorities, we’re excited to announce we’ve made significant speed improvements to our theme imports, making website creation even faster<\/strong> and easier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, let\u2019s look at how our previous template imports worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Did Importing Templates Take Time?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the past, when you imported a template kit, all the image files loaded directly from our servers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process could take a while, especially if you have a slower internet connection or are importing a kit with many large images, such as those in our WooCommerce site kits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We understand how frustrating it is to have this delay in your website launch<\/a>. It makes it difficult to test different designs quickly or causes you to miss important deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also know this isn’t ideal for our users, so we set out to find a better way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How We Made Importing Faster<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To solve this, we\u2019ve introduced a Content Delivery Network (CDN). It\u2019s like a network of servers spread across the globe, each storing copies of your website’s images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you import a template kit<\/a>, the images now come from the CDN server closest to you. This means you no longer have to wait for images to download slowly from a distant server. Your site is also protected from outages and attacks, as there are multiple servers to handle the load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
